James Curtis Boyd, III

James “Jamie” Boyd, III, age 45, left this world peacefully on March 30, 2024. He grew up in Hurley, MS and worked as a crane operator at Ingalls for 17 years. He loved the outdoors, NASCAR and Auburn football. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. 

Jamie was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Ollie Mae Dees; parental grandparents, James and Ada Boyd. 

He is survived by his daughter, Alysson “Aly” Boyd; parents, James and Debbie Boyd; sister, Rachael Holifield; niece, Emily (Garrett) Boykin; nephew, Caleb (Makayla) Holifield; 3 great nieces; 4 great nephews; his lifelong best friend David Sparks; numerous other relatives and friends. 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home.  The service will be officiated by his friend Jason Owenby.
