Julia Lynn “Judy” Gill Havard, age 82, passed away April 25, 2024. She drove a school bus in the George County School District for many years, and greatly enjoyed time with the kids. She was a faithful member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a Deacon’s Wife for many years. She was a very giving individual, loved by all who knew her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and dear friend who will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Truman Havard, Sr.; parents, Harvey Wallace Gill and Ruby Barbee Gill; siblings, Mack Gill and Alice Ann Leonard.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Emily Havard, Craig (Tina) Havard, Barry Wallace Havard, Wendy Havard-Loupee, Billy T. (Terri) Havard, Jr., and Lisa (Terry) Lamb; 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Johnnie Gill; brother-in-law, JD (Ada) Havard; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The Visitation will be Monday, April 29, 2024 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM in the church sanctuary with Bro. Jeff Bass, Bro. Perry Pierce and Bro. Robbie Langley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers include Cory Havard, Caylor Havard, Cameron Welford, Joe Tunstall, John Rouse, Corbin Pannell, Tristan Havard, Brandon Loupee, Jed Loupee, Chris Dixon, Matthew Lamb, Aaron Lamb and Caleb Smith.
